      @@konbou1ok, fair enough! I’ve put another 2-3k on this gun since this video. Barrel still holding up… so no cracks or fall off in accuracy. Everything is still the same. What I like to do is replace hammer springs (11.5lb) every 5k, recoil spring (11lb) every 2500rds… at 10k I replace all the springs (including the two I mention) which is the the trigger return, trigger bar, extractor, mag release, & sear spring. That’s it! So keep spare springs. Thanks for watching and let me know if you have any other questions. I’ll think about your original comment going forward, thank you for the feedback!

    Great video!...thank you. I own both heavy competition oriented handguns (92X, TS2...) and lightweight ones (G34)...recently I tend to favor my G34! I am an average shooter, but I tend to draw and get to the first shot faster with my lightweight Glock, transition faster especially between further apart targets and generally I feel much more confident manipulating the lighter gun, do mag changes etc.. In terms of weight modifications I must admit I have added a steel guide-rod to my Glock, that helps me stabilize it better for those longer precision shots. I would say that for me, the heavier guns do have a small advantage when pushing hard for fast doubles and when shooting on the move...walking forwards and especially backwards with my heavier guns I consistently get better results....

    Heck yeah! Thanks for the CZ and Shadow content Paul! Great to see an expert's take on this issue. I really favor heavy guns as a noob; good to know a difference can even be noticed by experienced folks. I think how you described it was perfect; the heavier full size is "gentle" in comparison to the compact. It's not that S2C is snappy, but the full size S2 is so smooth it gives a gentle experience and dot tracking. The S2 really punches above it's price especially with a spring swap haven't found much better for the consistent and gentle dot tracking and recoil profile. I'm no expert of course, but I've fired double stack 1911s (VGW Priest, Fowler V9, LFA Apollo, and Playtpus), Beretta's, Canik Rival S, and others (need to try a Walther) plus a carry a p365 xl so have Sig experience; none of these are close to the recoil and dot experience of the full S2.

    Curious aboit the DWX compact to this

  • @rurouniad
    @rurouniad 10 днів тому

    I go back and forth on the argument if the shadow 2 compact vs the p01. I keep coming back to the thought that one is a cz75 > shadow 2 > compact The other is cz75 > cz75b > cz p01. My guess is the standards to which they are made are different. As one is a nato certified gun and one is a competitor pistol. I just wish I understood more about both the p01 and the s2c to explain the difference.

      I have both and will continue to carry the P01. Personal preference of course, the decocker gives me a layer of safety not on the S2C. Both are good options. The S2C is "better" out of the box. Better sights, smoother and lighter action. I also prefer the trigger shape. Mainly, should I ever have to defend myself or family. I would rather surrender the $600 option over $1300.

      @@williamsmith4720 I follow everything except the 600 vs 1300 argument. Unless you shoot both the same. I’m not saying you do or don’t personally. I’m saying a lot of people use that argument in strange ways.

      @rurouniad 10 днів тому

      @@williamsmith4720 do you mainly keep it factory and that’s where you are coming from? I think a lot of people incorrectly compare factory + aftermarket when they assess the p01 vs s2c. “Because the s2c costs more and is less safe but has the same parts.” I understand the simplicity of the argument “why isn’t a S2C at least a 999 handgun like a S2 when a p01 costs even less.” But it still sorta makes sense because you are paying for something that either hasn’t been done before or had to be redone.

      @@rurouniad Hopefully I will never be in a position that I have to surrender a gun for evidence. Because I am not wealthy, the least expensive is my better option. Yes, I have kept the P01 stock, and have a lot of rounds through it. It gets better as it breaks in. Having only just purchases the S2C, it's a noticeable improvement. At the range the S2C is more fun. If I modify the P01, it will only be to the combat trigger. I personally like the heavier action on a carry gun. Less chance of a ND. These are my thoughts, nothing more, having some experience with both.

      @ACxREAL 10 днів тому

      @@WREKLOC it’s not a uncommon issue . If other ammo works then i say just run it with that. It’s for sure a balance I’ve got a couple of CZs cajuned out and they have been reliable but I haven’t explored a ton of different ammo. Mostly federal, Winchester, blazer, and piles of reloads.
